The Role of the Believer in Witnessing

The believer must not be ashamed of the Gospel. Romans 1:16

Witnessing must be accepted as a responsibility. Acts 1:8; 2 Timothy 4:5; Ephesians 6:15,20

Witness must be knowledgeable of basic Bible Doctrine:

•     Judgment

•     Reconciliation

•     Justification

•     Imputation

•     Propitiation

•     Salvation

•     Sanctification

• The believer must be able to emphasize the Gospel

• Witnessing requires knowledge of doctrine pertinent to the Gospel

• The effectiveness of our witnessing depends on the ministry of The Holy Spirit, not our personality

• The responsibility to witness belongs to all Christian believers

• The believer must be continuously involved in spiritual growth.
