Forgiveness
- Eph 4:32 And
be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as
God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. (KJV) |
Forgiveness – could
actually be called Tolerance, man says that he has forgiven when in fact
he has let it go but could still harbor bitterness.
God said that He will remember our sins no more and our salvation is based on that fact.Forgiveness has both divine and human dimensions. From the Divine perspective, it is a gift from God where His Grace and Mercy blots out forever our sins when we confess and repent and accept the finished works of Christ. Just as God shows grace and mercy, our forgiveness of others involve acts and attitudes of grace and mercy toward those that have wronged us giving up our claim for revenge or resentment, mending a broken relationship and disallowing bitterness |
