 Subject: DUMB THINKERS

Why people are dumb, the flesh’s job is to persecute the spirit

Two Points:

Get information because inspiration does not last and is based on how you feel

Apply it

 Introduction

In Matthew 24, the Jews showed Jesus the temple and Jesus’ response to them provoked 3 questions from them

Jesus made them aware that the temple was temporary and not noteworthy.

When were these things going to happen?

What would be the sign of His coming?

What would be the sign of the end of the current Age?

Righteousness is the fuel of Heaven

This was taught to the Jew beginning in Abraham, see Gen 15.6 and Gal 3.6, righteousness was defined as believing God.  Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness, promises from God were made to Abraham.

So it was well known by the Jews that righteousness comes by faith and not by the law or the worship or objects

Now look at Acts 21.28-29

Lets now look at Romans 10.1-4

What we can see from the verses is that man tends to make his own promises from God, look at what is happening in the churches today.  Two Jews, Simeon and Levi used the law of circumcision to kill all of the men in the city of Shechem.

Second Thess. 2.4 tells us that the anti-christ, himself will sit in the temple so how can it be that special.  The temple is holy because we are there, see 1 Cor 3.16 and 6.19

Re: the Garden of Evil

If we understand this and agree to it, why do we continue to pursue the things that are cursed in this world, the only thing that is not cursed in this earth is the Spirit of God.  How much effort do we spend in pursuit of the Spirit
